Rumor Busters Team

Graduation Matters Missoula is looking for a few good students to help us to create the “Rumor Busters” Team.

We are looking to develop street teams that will help us reach out to their peers:

Group 1 will focus on developing a message from High School age students (themselves) to be delivered directly to Middle School Students by the Street Team. This message will focus on the importance of staying in school.

Group 2 will focus on developing a peer-to-peer, Street Team approach that focuses on disseminating correct information about school policies and practices that impact a student’s decision to drop-out. This outreach will happen both inside and outside of school.

Both Street Teams will work on the development of a Facebook Campaign that will encourage youth to pose questions to the “Rumor Busters”. Rumor Busters will serve to dispel faulty information around school policies and practices that impact a student’s decision to drop-out.

If you are interested in participating in this program please contact: Marianne Moon at mmoon@mcps.k12.mt.us at
